How long have you been in business?
Mr. Rushforth has been practicing in Nevada since 1981, operating his own firm since 2002. Mr. Powell joined the firm in 2005 and has been an attorney since 2003. Mr. Lee joined the firm in 2013 and has been an attorney since 2011.
What is your primary product or service?
Estate planning, probate and trust administration (including disputes), and business formation
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Mr. Rushforth became interested in trusts and estates in law school. Mr. Powell joined the firm in 2005 after practicing in other legal areas. Mr. Powell has been interested in trusts and estates since law school.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a small firm focused on giving clients individual attention and documents that are customized for each client's unique set of beneficaries. We encourage clients to use their will or trust to leave a legacy of personal values, not just financial wealth, and we adapt estate-planning documents to encourage or discourage specific behavior by the beneficiaries.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location in Summerlin, and we have no plans to expand.

Primarily the greater Las Vegas area, but also Clark County, Nevada in general. We have handled probate matters in rural Nevada, as well, but usually when the court does not require a personal appearance.

Layne Rushforth is the sole owner of The Rushforth Firm, Ltd.
What are your hours of operation?
We accept appointments between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Friday. We do not accept appointments on weekends or holidays.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That we helped them accomplish their objectives after helping them understand their options.
