How long have you been in business?
AFScorp has been in business since 2001, the Vice President of AFScorp has been in filtration for over 30 years with the same manufactures he represents.
What is your primary product or service?
Filtration for all types of equipment including HVAC and for IAQ.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Vice President - Mack Barnhardt I interest started about a year after I was hired in 1982. That first year was very hard and I was not very happy with the job I had to take to pay my bills. Then I had a job that really involved science and that peaked my interest and I started to look at filtration in a whole different way. I never looked back and 20 years later after working for the same company I left and started my own business.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
AFScorp is really a Green & Sustainability company with its focus to teach others how to reduce air filter changes and how to use other supportive maintenance products to get a full service life out of them. For examples Air Filters: We have a MERV 8-11 filters that last 2-3 times longer than pleated filters. We have never lost a side by side comparison test to another MERV 8-11 air filter. We can cut your labor, disposal & purchases of MERV 8-11 air filters in half and still maintain better filtration. Belts: We have a maintenance free v-belt, once installed properly it will last 2-3 times longer than standard belts and does not need to be retensioned. Sand Filter: we have a zero water use sand filter that does not use additional water to keep clean cooling towers or open loop systems. It is also high efficiency going down to 0.25 microns at 80%. HVAC and Duct Coating: our coating stops 97% of all the sun rays that heat surfaces with an R19 equal and only using 10 mills of product.
